Important: 【Dujiangyan Panda Base】 has been temporarily closed for renovation since April 23, 2026, and the reopening date is currently pending notice. The volunteer program can only operate after the base officially reopens.

• The published reference price is based on 2 adults traveling together on a private tour. The final price may vary according to travel date, program availability, and number of participants.

• Volunteers are generally required to be between 10 and 70 years old. Children aged 0-9 may accompany adults but cannot enter restricted keeper areas.

• Volunteer activities may be adjusted according to the health and welfare requirements of the pandas and the panda base's daily operational arrangements.

• Direct contact with giant pandas is not permitted. Participants prepare food and assist with keeper-related tasks while maintaining safe separation from the animals.

• Do not wear perfume or nail polish on the day of the program, as giant pandas have a sensitive sense of smell. Shorts and slippery footwear are also not recommended because some paths may be wet.

• The tour normally starts with hotel pickup at around 7:15 am and returns to Chengdu at approximately 4:00 pm.

• If you need to travel onward after the program, the source recommends domestic flights after 8:00 pm, international flights after 9:00 pm, or trains after 7:00 pm. Earlier departures may require skipping part of the afternoon program.

• Advance reservation is recommended because volunteer places are limited and program availability may change.

• More than 30 days before departure: 10% cancellation fee

• 30-15 days before departure: 20% cancellation fee

• 14-7 days before departure: 30% cancellation fee

• 6-2 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee

• Less than 48 hours before departure or no-show: 100% cancellation fee

• Any non-refundable costs already incurred for hotels, tickets, transportation or other services will be deducted from the refundable amount.
